Job purpose
The Director of Accounting Services is responsible for developing and executing strategies within the Accounting Services Department to achieve BELAY’s organizational objectives. This role oversees strategic planning, goal setting, and operational excellence for the department, with a focus on enhancing its contribution to client engagement and satisfaction. The Director will serve as a forward-looking leader, providing cross-functional guidance to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability. This position plays a key role in supporting BELAY’s growth while safeguarding the organization’s long-term health and sustainability.
Duties and responsibilities

- Develop and implement enterprise-wide strategies that deliver high-impact, measurable results aligned with organizational goals.
- Clearly communicate strategic objectives to align cross-functional teams and foster organizational cohesion.
- Lead the execution of strategic initiatives through effective team-based project management.

- Apply strategic thinking and risk analysis to influence short- and long-term organizational direction.
- Partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement, solve complex problems, and enhance service delivery.

- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to provide coaching, feedback, and support employee growth and retention.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices through ongoing professional development and networking.

- Delegate effectively to optimize team resources, productivity, and time management.
Use data-driven insights to inform decisions, identify business intelligence, and focus on actionable priorities. - Anticipate industry and workplace shifts, implementing proactive solutions to meet emerging needs.
Departmental Responsibilities
- Achieve departmental goals aligned with company priorities, including growth, client retention, engagement duration, and overall satisfaction.
- Develop and analyze performance reports to support data-driven decisions and track progress against strategic objectives.
- Define and execute a strategic vision for the Accounting Services Department, ensuring all roles contribute to enhanced client value.
- Oversee and refine processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the team.
- Ensure compliance with data security protocols to protect client and company information.
- Partner with the Vice President of Accounting Services to establish and monitor departmental goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Supervise daily operations to ensure service excellence and alignment with performance expectations.
- Build and maintain a high-performing team through effective hiring, continuous training, and resource support.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of financial leadership experience
- Experience with CRM and financial platforms preferred
- Must demonstrate a blend of financial acumen, strategic leadership, and a proven track record of driving organizational success
Working conditions
BELAY Corporate offers full-time remote work, requiring a dedicated, distraction-free home office for standard Monday-Friday business hours. As a full-time, exempt W-2 employee, you'll join a vibrant, award-winning company culture where you're a valued, engaged team player in a thriving organization.
This role includes expected participation in conference calls, on-site meetings, ad-hoc meetings, and off-site meetings, which may require travel. This role serves as a member of the BELAY Leadership Team, which encompasses leading and serving as an example of the company’s mission.
